From April 22 to April 29, ATUSS realised first part of its very first KA171 project in cooperation with the Russian Federation and North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU). Two representatives of this HEI visited the Academy of Technical and Art Applied
Studies Belgrade (ATUSS), Department School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (VISER), with the aim of giving lessons to students and staff of ATUSS and building bridges of cooperation between these two partner institutions. Irina Samoilenka,
as a representative of NCFU for publishing activities, gave a series of lectures on academic writing, academic integrity and publishing articles in scientific journals. The second colleague, Vladimir Samoilenko, apart from being Coordintor for International
Cooperation of NCFU, teaches automation. He joined VISER’s team of teachers from the study programme Automation and Vehicle Control Systems and realised both lectures and practical lessons on the application of CoDeSys, for master students.
VISER’s team for international cooperation used this wonderful opportunity to prepare the second part of KA171 projects with the colleagues from Russia. The second part of the project will be realised in Stavropol, where the teaching staff of ATUSS will
have a chance to share their knowledge with the students of NCFU.
Finally, it is important to emphasise that this visit was not only educational, but that is also had an athletic/recreational component to it. Colleagues from the Russian Federation joined the staff of ATUSS in this year’s Belgrade Marathon, which they
were able to complete succcessfully and send an important message of support for health living, physical activity and true values.
