Goal: The goal is for students to master the process of cost management and to learn the process of making managerial decisions on costs and prices.
Outcome: Students are trained to master the process of cost management and the process of making managerial decisions on costs and prices.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Cost sharing.
  2. Fixed and variable costs.
  3. Actual, planned and standard costs.
  4. Cost planning.
  5. Standardization of direct and indirect costs.
  6. Total and average costs.
  7. Managerial decision-making based on marginal costs.
  8. First colloquium.
  9. Cost analysis and managerial pricing decisions.
  10. Determination of selling prices in conditions of different market conditions
  11. Characteristics of long-term cost curves and long-term cost management.
  12. Cost estimate and business results analysis using a breakthrough analysis. Algebraic and diagrammatic determination of the turning point.
  13. Cost control.
  14. Costs of inventory.
  15. Information support for cost management.
